ABSTRACT
Malaria is a major public health problem, and the alarming speed of drug resistance and limited number of effective drugs now available underlines how important it is to discover new antimalarial compounds. This work investigated the antimalarial efficacy of the combined methanol leaf extracts of Dacryodes edulis and Funtumia elastica. The two plant leaves were extracted separately with methanol and tested for their antimalarial activity against chloroquine (CQ) – sensitive strain of Plasmodium berghei (NK-65) infected mice.
