ASSESSING THE IMPACT OF CHRISTIANITY ON INDIGENOUS RELIGIOUS PRACTICES IN CENTRAL NIGERIA.

Abstract
This chapter dwells on Christianity and the impact it has on indigenous religious practices in Central Nigeria, this has been done as a result of the scarce nature of academic literature on the subject matter. The study adopted the use of secondary sources of data to articulate the discourse. It examined the nature and character of indigenous religions in central Nigeria before the advent of Christianity using the selected cases of Tiv, Idoma, and Igala ethnic groups in the geographical enclave.
