Abstract
This study historicizes the philosophical notion of dialectics. This endeavour developed from the contributions of early Greek philosophers like Parmenides and Zeno, through Socrates’ contribution to Hegel, Marx, and beyond. The issue that this essay aims to examine is whether the discourses on dialectics have developed beyond Hegel and Marx, who are recognized as having brought the discourse to its zenith.
