THE PROXIMATE COMPOSITIONS, MINERALS AND FIBRE COMPONENTS OF DRIED CABBAGE LEAF RESIDUES FED TO BROILER CHICKENS.
ILABOYA, I. I. AND OMATSULI, M. O.

ABSTRACT
The proximate compositions of dried cabbage leaf residues were evaluated using standard procedures. The result for the proximate composition showed the moisture contents (95.7%), ash (23.3%), Crude fibre (25.2%), Crude protein (11.81%), Ether extract (2.40%), Nitrogen Free Extract (37.29) and calorie value of 1957.09kcal/kg. Birds were fed 4 treatments (T); T1 (0% DCLR), T2 (4% DCLR), T3 (8% DCLR), T4 (12% DCLR). The result of the proximate composition of the experimental diets increased significantly across all the treatment means (moisture, crude protein, crude fibre and ash) with the highest values gotten from treatment 4 (12% inclusion level of DCLR). Ether extract was not significant (P>0.05) in T1 (4.93%) and T4 (4.81%) but…

EFFECTS OF PRE-WEANING SUPPLEMENTATION OF BETAINE HYDROCHLORIDE ON WEIGHT GAIN AND HAEMATOLOGICAL INDICES IN PIGLETS.
IMOUOKHOME, J. I. AND ILABOYA, I. I.

ABSTRACT
This study examined the effects of dietary betaine in its hydrochloride form on the average daily weight gain (ADG) and haematological parameters on postnatal piglets. Three sows were used for this study with each sow having nine piglets. The sows were fed the samequantity and quality of feed to enable them to cater and nurture their piglets from day 1…

CONCENTRATIONS OF HEAVY METAL AND PHYSICOCHEMICAL CHANGES OF SPENT ENGINE OIL TREATED SOIL WITH POULTRY MANURE AFTER Sida acuta BURM.F. GROWTH
IFEDIORA, N. H., OTI, V. O. AND IGBOKWE, C. M.

ABSTRACT
Concentrations of heavy metal and physicochemical changes of spent engine oil treated soil and poultry manure after sida acuta growth was the aim of the study. 400 g poultry manure and 3600 g of the soil was measured into a sack bag. Then, spent engine oil was added to at different concentrations: control (0 mL), 1 % (40 mL), 3 % (120 mL) and 5 % (220 mL) v/w oil-in-soil and permitted to stand for seven days in the sack bags before transplanting. The soil after 12 weeks was collected and subjected to physical, chemical and heavy metal analysis. The results gotten showed that the heavy metal content of the spent engine oil, clay and sand of the treated soil, organic carbon, organic matter, exchangeable…

FUNGAL COLONIZATION OF BODY SURFACES OF YOUTHS LIVING IN IKWUANO L.G.A, UMUAHIA, ABIA STATE, NIGERIA
NWANKWO, U. I., EDWARD, K. C., UDENSI, C. G. AND ONYENEKE, P. U.

ABSTRACT
Fungal colonization of human body surfaces increases due to interaction with the environment. This study aimed to isolate, identify, and characterize fungal species colonizing young individuals living in Ikwuano Local Government Area, Abia State, Nigeria. 20 samples were taken from the body surfaces such as the nails, armpit, toe web, hairs, and skin from different communities in Ikwuano LGA using the swab stick soaked with distilled water. The samples were inoculated using the spread plate method, cultured in Sabouraud…

ON THE PREDICTION OF NON-HOMOGENEOUS MARKOV FUZZY MANPOWER SYSTEMS
EZUGWU, V. O.,OSAGIEDE, A. A. AND AMENAGHAWON, V. A.

ABSTRACT
Many research works have considered intra-state heterogeneity in personnel transition behaviour due to latent factors. None of these research works has captured any specific latent factor or combination of specific latent factors which influence the within-state transition differences in a manpower model. Therefore, this work considers a hierarchical non-homogeneous manpower system in which promotion of employees is only based on the level of innovativeness and job performance capability of the employees. In this system, a non-homogeneous Markov model which takes into account theory of fuzzy sets is proposed…..

SEASONAL VARIATIONS IN PHYSICO–CHEMICAL CHARACTERISTICS OF SOIL AND GROUNDWATER AROUND SELECTED DUMP SITES IN ABA, SOUTH EASTERN, NIGERIA.
HUMPHREY-EBENEZER, J. N. AND DIKE, M. C.

ABSTRACT
This study assessed the physical and chemical status of ground water and soil around selected open dumpsites in Aba, Abia State, Nigeria in rainy and dry seasons. The study sampled waste dump around residential areas of Emelogu, Enyimba and Ndiegoro all in the city of Aba. Soil and groundwater samples were collected in September and March for the rainy and dry seasons respectively. One other location at least 10 km away from a dumpsite within the study area was also sampled and considered as control. Soil samples were collected randomly at three different parts of each of the dumpsites at three depths of 0 – 15 cm….

MACHINE LEARNING-BASED SENTIMENT ANALYSIS OF TWEET DATA.
ORIE, C. E., EGWALI, A. O. AND AMADIN, F. I.

ABSTRACT
The idea of sentiment analysis is to assess and ascertain various opinions on specific data as it relates to various discuss on product review. These sentiments could be assessed in terms of products, human behaviours, events, or topics that are covered by reviews. Machine learning is used to classify data in line with various techniques or models developed. However, in the context of sentiment analysis, several issues, particularly with regards to text classification are yet to be resolved; this has been a major cause for concern to many researchers. Digital technologies, as well as social media platforms such as Instagram,

ABSTRACT
This paper presents data from exploration of Subsurface Stratification in Owanoba Community, Ikpoba-Okha Local Government Area, Edo State, Nigeria, using Geophysical Methods. The survey area spans longitudes 005° 40′ 12.0″ E to 005° 40′ 19.0″ E and latitudes 06° 07′ 11.1″ N to 06° 07’18.3″ N within Owanoba. The study engaged 2D imaging to investigate the subsurface stratification in both the vertical and horizontal spreads at the Owanoba community. The electrical resistivity data obtained in parallel and orthogonal equidistant lines were processed into geoelectric models using RES2DINV. The..

ANYANWU, E. D., IROLE-EZE, O. P.,ADETUNJI, O. G. AND NNADI, O. F.

Water is important to human life and public health but most freshwater sources are being polluted through human activities globally. An important rural water source in southeast Nigeria was studied between January and June 2022 in 3 stations for parasitic contamination. Water samples were collected and analyzed using standard methods while parasitological samples were collected using grab and composite filtration methods and analyzed with sedimentation method. The results showed that out of the eleven (11) parameters evaluated, some values of pH, dissolved oxygen, biochemical oxygen demand…
